 Sonion has just released the world's smallest push button switch, PB100, into the market. Due to the high demand for smaller size components, PB100 has been developed with a diameter of 1.9mm only and a body height of 1.4mm, with a minimum of 100,000 operational life cycles. For easy operation, this push button switch features a knob as large as the diameter of the housing and also increased friction. The large knob is for easy actuation and higher activation force avoids accidental activations. This ultra small component will suit many different applications where space is very limited or the switch is to remain obscure for sensitive but deliberate actuation. This is part of the continuing miniaturisation efforts of Sonion components.
