MR16 Lamps powered by high power LEDs for venue and home lighting. LED lamps are energy efficient, at the same offers variety in colours as well as advantages over halogen lamps’ drawbacks in its high temperature and maintenance.
Built for 12VDC/AC operations with 5W power consumption, the lamps have a MR16 plug pins and may be used as plug-in substitutes for halogen lamps driven iron-core transformers only. Electronic transformers must not be used with these lamps as it is incompatible and lead to damage of the transformers. For best performance DC power supply is preferred as well as open track or pendant style housings are highly recommended for thermal management.
Halogen lamps used as ceiling mounted recessed downlights have their hazards. New regulations are being introduced in regards to the safe practices here. Compliance to any such regulations must be adhered to in any case.
